Meet some of our beautiful dogs looking for sponsors!
CHAMPI… came to the shelter along with his mommy and 7 siblings, almost 11 years ago.
He is the SWEETEST dog!
Champi in early 2020 was diagnosed with arthritis and we are doing the best possible for him, giving him specal vitamins several times per day. Other than that, he is neutered and a bit chubby and has the cutest bear face. He is very playful and of course he loves to be petted. What else could this amazing dog ask other than a forever home that is as loving as he is? Whilst we look for a family for Champi he needs sponsors, so that we can offer him the best life possible at the shelter.
Please consider sponsoring Champi & share his story to help us find him a forever home!

Cookie… was named for her love of treats!
She has a wonderful character and is around 11 years old & has spent her entire life at the shelter. She arrived as a young dog with her sister Candy. She is a deep soul who listens to people, and is very calm. She is a little timid of people she doesn’t know but when she receives affection & trusts you, she willingly gives it back too!
Sadly in 2018 Cookie lost her sister Candy and then later that year her best friend Roxy (in 3rd photo above). We are so sad she’s lost 2 of her best friends in one year.
Cookie has been abused by people in the past and we have promised her a family that will love her and make her happy. Her behavior is amazing with all dogs in the shelter. She would make an ideal companion and would be best in a quiet, calm home. She will become your best friend! We’d love to find Cookie the home she deserves, but until that time comes she needs a few sponsors to support her at the shelter.

Lora… has been in the shelter since she was a puppy and now she is 9 years old.
She is a beautiful, independent girl approx 11 years old. She is very timid of people she doesn’t know and she trusts only a few members of the shelter she’s known all her life. She is very quiet and calm and she likes to hang out with the boy dogs.
She developed a very big lipoma (benign tumor) and underwent surgery in 2019 and was also diagnosed with arthritis. It is the second time she developed a large lipoma and they grow very fast on her body & often affect her walking.
Growing medical expenses for our elderly dogs are very hard for the shelter to cover, in this case 300€ was needed for Lora’s surgery. Your donations will go towards Lora’s future medical bills, every little bit helps!

Markos… was found staggering around Syros, so weak he could barely walk.
This beautiful boy was likely once used for for hunting and was likely abandoned as he was not useful any more. This is often the case with hunting breeds in Greece and it’s a tragic situation for these poor souls who are virtually left to die.
The Shelter rescued Markos 6 years ago and sadly he’s still there and we’d love to find him a real home.
With a lot of care, love and a great effort from shelter volunteers, he forgot his past and has become a lovely happy dog. He always looks for hugs and petting and he is a very sweet boy! We hope it won’t be long before markos finds a family to love him, but until that day we’d love to find him some sponsors to support him at the shelter.

Bella… is a sweet, beautiful lady that was found in a box when she was a puppy with her brother Tsoko.
Eever since that day, she has been at the shelter and is a calm, kind and loving soul.
Sadly in the fall of 2018 she developed a cancerous tumor on her leg , and the only way to save her life was to amputate her hind leg. After a 4 hour operation, Bella made a remarkable recoveryand is now doing well. The surgery saved her life by preventing the cancer spreading.
Bella now runs around the shelter on 3 legs & is enjoying life once again. More than anything we’d love Bella to find a family of her own, but until that time, she’d love your support by sponsoring her.
